Roadtrip through England, and then... HOME!

sunny 20 °C

Yupp!

Came back to Norway the day before yesterday, and got off the plane in beautiful Lofoten yesterday. Kinda surreal in a way, but really good. Just sleeping in my own bed, eating mums food and drinking proper milk, aaaah.. :]

Had an awesome time in England though. Good fun hanging out with my crazy norwegian girls again. :] After 3 days in London with pub crawls and sightseeing (which means laying down lazying in the park), we decided to rent a car and drive up north to Blackpool (I know, this is the part where all you pommies ask "Why..?!"). What do you do in Blackpool? Well, cheap drinks always come in handy... :D

On our way back to London we stopped in Manchester. Even went to Old Trafford (Linn was too excited!). But yeah, Manchester got this really good place to go out; several rooms so you could choose the music kinda. :] Us like..

So all in all, England was a proper roadtrip: loud music and singing in the car, emergency-scenario; out-of-petrol, HUGE roadabouts that go the wrong way, getting lost, frustration over crappy maps and so on. Good way to end a long trip.

So this will be my last entry, with photos and all, in this blog. Hope you've enjoyed reading it, and even laughed a few times. I've had heaps of fun, and will never forget this trip.

Remember: There's no point being normal in a world that's crazy, so live life just the way YOU want, and enjoy every second of it.

Save water, drink beer

Costa Rica

semi-overcast 24 °C

Hola!
You just read one of the 5 phrases I know in spanish, so yeah, a lot of confusion and funny situations. :] Costa Rica seems nice enough, but the crime here is relatively high, so you really need to look after your stuff.

Planning on going out to the Caribbian coast, but need to get cash out of the ATM first, which is a lot harder than you think it ever could be. :]

I mentioned we were going to Disneyland; what a day! It's no wonder everybody in LA is driving instead of catching public transport: it took us 4 HOURS to get there, and it takes you 45 min with car. I can assure you there was an angry norwegian travelling on the Metro that day. Good thing Disneyland wasn't disapointing, cause that could've really unleashed great fury. :D

Cook Islands, LA and ... Brad Pitt?

sunny 20 °C

Hey!

Well, two weeks on the Cooks is now over. Really a shame the weather was so bad in the beginning (read; Tine on a scooter up on the hill convinced she's never been so wet before in her whole life, INCLUDING when she's been diving). The Cooks was really nice and relaxing (as the rest of the Pacific) and the people are really cool. Will never forget the nights out in Avarua, the capitol which is smaller than my home town!!! :D

Left the Cooks a bit later than planned though since Air New Zealand had found out they wanted to change my flight without letting me know. Think thats their way of having fun; freaking out poor backpackers :] How smart do you think I looked at the airport a thursday night with NO ONE WHATSOEVER there. Was completely empty, and I was completely confused. :] But worked out in the end and I finally arrived LA the 3. June.

What I've done since I've been here is checking out Venice Beach (lot of funny characters), Hollywood, Universal Studios and... yeah.. MET BRAD PITT! :] Sorry, a bit crazy, screaming girl there for a sec, but it's true, I've met him! All the actors from Oceans Thirteen came to the premiere up in Hollywood, and we just randomly walked past and decided to stop and watch for a while. And Brad Pitt showed up and signed autographs and stuff. He is a really nice guy I'll let you know! We're close friends now... ;]

Tomorrow I'm probably going to Disneyland. Was a bit disappointed when someone told me the rollercoasters there aren't that good, but should be a nice experience anyway. Since I'm such a big kid I'll blend in perfectly with the "high-on-fairyfloss-kids". Mmm, fairyfloss!
